Have A Green Thumb?
Join us at Silverado Southlake for a day of planting in our Renewal Garden. Therapeutic Horticulturist Susan Morgan and Calloway's Ty Poynter will be on hand to assist in planting a renewal garden that will feature plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, seasonal vegetables, and herbs to be used by our residents for cooking and enjoyment. Each participant will receive a plant to take home for helping!
There will also be discussions on the beneficial properties of gardening, especially for those with dementia. Learn more about Nexus at Silverado, a program designed to help slow the progression of Alzheimer's in the early-stages of memory impairment.
