The Southlake Chamber of Commerce Announces the
Leadership Southlake Class of 2015-2016
Southlake, TX— August 25, 2015 — Today the Southlake Chamber of Commerce announced the names of the Leadership Southlake Class for 2015-2016.
“Leaders make a difference – to everything. Even in the easiest of times, people need leaders, and the more challenges that lie ahead of us, the more important effective leadership will be,” said Mark Guilbert, President and CEO off the Chamber. He also stated that this is one of the largest classes in recent history.
Positive Community Impact
Knowledge of the City of Southlake and the surrounding community gives the participants a deeper understanding of the how’s and why’s of city government, transportation, education, public safety, economic development and health and human services. As they learn more about the City, they have more opportunities to impact their community. The sessions are once a month starting in August with a graduation luncheon in May, 2016.
The first session is Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at City Hall with City Manger Shana Yelverton and Mayor Laura Hill. Cheryl Fairbanks will be the Director for the program again this year.
