DEMOGRAPHICS

Southlake is a great place to live. You’ll see that our demographics support this claim.

We’re the fifth largest city in Tarrant County at just over 22 square miles. Our estimated 2007 population is 25,700. We’re approximately 85% developed residentially and anticipate that our maximum population will be just over 32,000. We have nearly 8,000 households averaging nearly 3.5 people per family. The median value of a home in our community is over $450,000.

Our average household income is over $140,000, and over 60% of our residents have a bachelors degree or higher. Both of these numbers are significantly higher than the national average.

Our crime rate is one that is dreamed of by most communities at 2.34% compared to over 5% for the state.
