Congratulations are in order for our 2007-2008 Carroll Independent School District Teachers of the Year.  Eleven campuses selected a Teacher of the Year, and from those, the two district-wide winners were selected.

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present each district award winner $500 and each campus award winner with $100.

This year's recipients are:

DISTRICT

• Durham Intermediate School
  Chris Underwood - a 6th grade math teacher with 8 years expereince all at CISD
• Carroll High School
  Julie McCurley - a GT teacher with 12 years experience and 10 at CISD

CAMPUS

• Carroll Elementary School
   Pam Platt - a music teacher with 29 years teaching experience and four with CISD
• Durham Elementary School
  Polly Allen - a 4th grade teacher with 10 years at CISD and 19 years total teaching
• Johnson Elementary School
  Becky Sewell - a music teacher with 19 years teaching experience and 10 with CISD
• Old Union Elementary School
  Julie Graviett - a 1st grade teacher with 19 years teaching experience and 15 with CISD
• Rockenbaugh Elementary School
  Trisha Pate - a PE teacher with three years at CISD and 16 total
• Durham Intermediate School
  Chris Underwood - a 6th grade math teacher with 8 years expereince all at CISD
• Eubanks Intermediate School
  Kim Bell - teaches 6th grade content mastery with 20 years experience and five at CISD
• Carroll Middle School
  Susan Herndon - a 10-year teaching veteran teaching math with seven years at CISD
• Dawson Middle School
  Julie Presley - a technology/keyboarding teacher with four years experience all at CISD
• Carroll High School
  Julie McCurley - a GT teacher with 12 years experience and 10 at CISD
• Carroll Senior High School
  Lora Benedetti - a Spanish teacher with 11 of 12 years teaching experience at CISD
