Elementary & Secondary
The education our students receive is unparalleled. Our families come to our community for this reason alone many times. Southlake is represented by four school districts.
Carroll Independent School District is our primary district, encompassing 78% of the city’s land area. Southlake Carroll epitomizes academic excellence. Carroll has received the Texas Education Agency’s exemplary rating many times. We’re excited that we expect to receive this rating for the 2006-2007 school year. This rating is a result of hard teamwork by the district’s administrators, educators, students, parents, and community members alike.
Carroll graduates receive millions of dollars in scholarships annually. It’s a true testament to the caliber of students that come out of our school system!
Of course, in addition to academics, Carroll is known for its athletics, too. Our Dragons have captured state and national football titles multiple years, including 2006. And, while football is definitely a key part of Texas athletics, it’s not our only strong suit. We also have top-notch baseball, lacrosse, softball, swim teams, and more. Dragon pride is evident everywhere in our community!
Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller, and Northwest Independent School Districts provide excellent schools to the remaining 22% of Southlake. Exemplary and blue ribbon schools are common terms throughout our city.
There are several private schools in the area providing you with further options to ensure the right school choice for your family.
